The film revolves around the story of Laura Chant (Erana James) living with her mother Kate (Melanie Lynskey) and brother Jacko (Benji Purchase) in a poor neighborhood on the outskirts of Christchurch. One day after school, Laura had lost Jacko and found her brother was engrossed in games at a shop decorated with countless exotic toys. Carmody Braque (Timothy Spall) - the mysterious owner of the booth - even put a stamp on Jacko's hand before the two sisters leave. Then a series of mysterious and horrible things happened to the Laura family. Will Sorensen Carlisle (Nicholas Galitzine) help her? And can Laura win and save her brother's life?
